 Getting
here from the M57 motorway. The M57 opens
to 4 lanes at its end. You need to
be in the lane
second
from
left,
and will
turn onto the A5036. Signposting is something like Bootle and
Docks.
You go through a double set of traffic lights and turn left.
You are now on a dual carriageway and should keep in
the right hand
lane ready to turn right in about 150 yards, at the first set
of traffic lights.
The road turns right and then has a long left hand curve
before straightening out. You come to some traffic lights
and should
be in the left hand lane - you go straight ahead, although
it is a
rather awkward junction that is not quite straight.
At the next traffic lights turn right. This is the A565.
You go through some woods, and the road open onto a dual
carriageway.
At the first roundabout turn left for Formby The road bends right and there is a filling station on
the right. Almost immediately after the filling station
is a
mini roundabout.
Turn left. You have rather more than a mile to go.
You
will cross a level crossing, and after about half a mile come
to a cross roads. Turn right and you will see St. Luke's on
your left after about 50 yards.
From
the M58, follow
signs onto the A5036 and proceed as above.

From
Ormskirk follow signposts on the B5195 to Formby. You
cross the A565 at traffic lights, and come to a "T" junction
close to a bend. Turn left, and left again at the large
roundabout. Then turn right at a mini roundabout.
